Best Vietnamese Restaurants in Da Nang

Nhà Bếp Xưa Restaurant

This is a great restaurant to visit if you want to try authentic Vietnamese dishes during your trip to Da Nang. Their menu has a range of options with photos, which is always helpful when you’re choosing from unfamiliar dishes.

I ordered mi quang, a traditional Central Vietnamese noodle dish served in broth topped with meat and fresh herbs. I also tried banh xeo, a crispy savoury pancake served with a basket of greens that you wrap in the pancake for freshness and crunch before dipping it in the sauces. It’s a casual and affordable spot that’s perfect for experiencing local cuisine.

NHÀ VIỆT Banh Mi & Coffee

I visited Nha Viet Banh Mi & Coffee several times during my last visit to Da Nang as it was right around the corner from my hotel, and quickly became my go-to for a quick, tasty meal. My usual order was a banh mi paired with a mango smoothie.

If you’re unfamiliar with banh mi, it’s a short crispy baguette, smeared with pate and sauce, then filled with meat, carrot, cucumber, coriander and chilli. I think it’s the perfect lunch, it’s an affordable, quick and easy option.

You can choose to dine in, with a small seating area out front and seats inside, or order to takeaway if you’re heading out to explore.

Bún Bò Bà Rơi

You’ll find Bún Bò Bà Rơi listed in the Michelin Guide with a Bib Gourmand award for good quality and good value cooking. They specialise in bun bo, a rich Vietnamese rice noodle soup topped with tender beef or pork.

The menu is simple but done well, with just three options:
Special – rice noodle soup with pork leg, crab ball, beef, flank and tenderloin
Mixed – rice noodle soup with crab ball, beef, flank and tenderloin
Flank & Crab Ball – rice noodle soup with crab ball and flank

You can customise it by adding some chilli paste if you like it spicy and some vegetables to balance the flavours. It’s one of the best spots in Da Nang for authentic noodle soup.

Best Seafood Restaurants in Da Nang

MOC Seafood Restaurant

This is my favourite spot for seafood in Da Nang. Tucked away down a quiet street, the restaurant has a large indoor and outdoor seating area decorated with fairy lights and lanterns, creating a welcoming atmosphere. You’ll also see fresh seafood displayed in the large water tanks.

I started with the seafood spring rolls, followed by scallops grilled with scallion and peanut sauce. The highlight was the tiger prawns in tamarind sauce, the staff even come to the table and peel them for you.

I’d recommend booking this for a delicious seafood dinner and great atmosphere.

4U Seafood Restaurant

This restaurant is a great choice if you’re after fresh seafood with a view, as it sits right on the beachfront at My Khe Beach. The menu offers a wide range of fresh seafood, from local fish to lobster, and you can see much of it on display in the large tanks out front before you order.

It’s a relaxed spot for a casual lunch after the beach or for a sunset seafood dinner by the water.

Pizza 4P’s

Pizza 4 P’s is a popular chain that originally started in Ho Chi Minh City and has since expanded across Vietnam, with two locations in Da Nang.

They serve a great range of pizzas, pastas, and other Italian-inspired dishes made with fresh and local ingredients. I’ve tried several items from the menu and have always been very happy with my choice. One thing I love is that they’ll do a half-and-half pizza, which makes it easy to try even more of the flavours.

Perfect if you’re in the mood for a comforting Italian meal, I recommend booking a table as it does get busy.

My Casa

My Casa is an Italian and Spanish fusion restaurant that’s perfect if you enjoy sharing plates or can’t decide what you’re in the mood to eat. I love ordering tapas dishes so I can try a few different flavours in one meal.

I enjoyed the delicious pork meat balls and patatas bravas, but the pizzas and pastas they were serving up at other tables also looked great. An ideal choice for dinner if you’re looking for variety and quality.

Thai Market Restaurant

Thai is one of my favourite cuisines – no matter where I am in the world, I always end up searching for a local Thai restaurant. In Da Nang, I found Thai Market serving all the classic Thai dishes you’d hope for.

I ordered a Pad Thai, which is my usual go-to order when I’m trying a new Thai spot, and it didn’t disappoint. The flavours were fresh, well balanced, and exactly what I was craving.

It’s a nice, easy option for either lunch or dinner when you’re in the area.

Rang

I visited Rang on my last night in Da Nang and wished I had gone there sooner, but perhaps this was for the best or I would have eaten there every night working my way through everything on the menu. Rang is a relatively new Indian restaurant in Da Nang, having opened in 2024, but they’ve already been listed in the Michelin Guide and awarded a Bib Gourmand for their good quality and good value cooking.

Here you’ll find classic Indian flavours fused with Mediterranean and European influences. This was clear in both the masala prawn ravioli starter and the gajar halwa mille feuille I had for dessert.

If you’re looking for an elevated dining experience, a special dinner or simply want to enjoy creative Indian fusion cuisine, this is well worth adding to your Da Nang Itinerary.

Bikini Bottom Express

I found Bikini Bottom Express when I was searching for a place to get a good burger and I wasn’t disappointed. Their smash burgers are juicy and full of flavour, made with 100% Australian beef and served on a soft brioche bun.

I also treated myself to an Oreo milkshake, it was hard to choose between that and the cookie dough flavour. They have a few sweet treats on the menu too, and I actually went back another day to try the cookie and cream dessert: a warm, chunky chocolate browned butter cookie served with whipped cream. Very indulgent.

You could easily come here for any meal of the day. They have a great range of breakfast options, including eggs, pancakes and smoothie bowls. For lunch and dinner they have burgers, tacos, and even poutine. Just make sure you leave room for dessert.

Fatfish

I visited Fat Fish for a late dinner after watching the fire show at Dragon Bridge. There are a number of restaurants along this street, but I was drawn in by their diverse menu when I couldn’t decide what I was in the mood to eat.

They have a wide range of dishes, from fresh seafood options and steak to pizzas, salads and soups, so there’s something for everyone. It’s an easy spot if you’re after plenty of choices in one place.

Palmtree Society

I love brunch, and this is exactly the kind of cute spot I want to find when going out for brunch, with bright colours, leafy plants, and tropical vibes – very on brand for me. Tucked down a quiet street just a couple of blocks from My Khe Beach, it’s a lovely place to sit outside and relax.

I ordered the club sandwich, which was generously filled and served with crunchy potato chips on the side. The menu covers all the classic brunch favourites and more, from eggs bennie and smoothie bowls to pastas and burgers. It’s open from early until late, but I think it has the perfect vibe for a brunch spot.

Modern & Fusion Dining

Pink Salt Restaurant

This is actually the only restaurant on this list that I haven’t personally visited. I almost left it off for that reason, but it looks so good from the reviews I’ve read that I couldn’t ignore it. I’m still kicking myself for not making time to go there on my last visit to Da Nang, I don’t want you to miss out as well.

Pink Salt is a fine dining fusion restaurant specialising in seafood, pasta and steak. The space looks modern and refined and every dish on their menu is beautifully presented and genuinely impressive.

If you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply want to treat yourself to a night of fine dining, this would be a perfect choice.

Cheap Eats & Street Food in Da Nang

Son Tra Night Market

Food is the real highlight at Son Tra Night Market, with dozens of vendors cooking up local Vietnamese street food. You’ll find seafood, all kinds of grilled meat loaded onto skewers, fruit juices, as well as sweet snacks like pancakes and ice cream. It’s also fun to walk through and watch everything being cooked right in front of you.

The market is open daily from around 5.30pm until late. It’s located right near the Dragon Bridge, making it a perfect place to grab dinner before heading over to see the fire show. For more details on the Dragon bridge and show times, you can check out Things to Do in Da Nang.

Taco Ngon

I’ve actually eaten here every single time I’ve visited in Da Nang and often more than once per trip. These aren’t your typical tacos but Asian fusion tacos, and I love them because they’re both cheap and incredibly tasty.

The taco menu is simple and easy to customise. You choose from four fillings: pork, fish, chicken or veggie and then pick from four toppings: wasabi coleslaw, yogurt salsa, ginger lime and tamarind BBQ. You can mix and match them however you like, my favourite combos are pork with tamarind BBQ and fish with ginger lime.

They also serve sweet and savoury crepes, along with drinks like cocktails and smoothies. And of course, a margarita pairs perfectly with the tacos.

Best Bars in Da Nang

Lounge Beach Bar & Restaurant

I love this spot for its location, it sits right on the beachfront at My Khe Beach with plenty of open seating that flows seamlessly between indoors and outdoors. It’s a really relaxing place to sit and recharge by the water.

I usually stop by for a drink, but they also offer a wide range of food options to choose from including pizzas, pastas, burgers, steaks and seafood along with smaller plates if you just want something light.

They’re open from early until late, though I think the perfect time is late afternoon or early evening as the sun starts to set.

Maia Beach Bar

This is another great beach bar located further along the beachfront, with plenty of outdoor seating that stretches right down onto the sand. It has a really fun, laid-back vibe and is a nice place to sit with a drink by the water.

In the evenings there’s usually a DJ, so it’s a great spot to come for a few sunset or evening drinks. The food menu is a little limited, so it works best as a place to grab a drink before wandering over to one of the nearby restaurants for dinner.

Address: 284 Võ Nguyên Giáp, Bắc Mỹ Phú, Ngũ Hành Sơn, Đà Nẵng, Vietnam

Section 30

Section 30 is the kind of bar that draws you in from the street as you walk past, thanks to its fun, lively atmosphere. They often have live music playing, which makes it a great spot to chill and enjoy a drink.

You’ll find plenty of local craft beers on tap alongside all the usual favourites. They also serve your classic pub-style food if you’re after a bite to eat.

Cafes & Coffee Shops in Da Nang

Cong Caphe

Cong Caphe is a chain of coffee shops that you’ll find all over Vietnam, easy to recognise by its khaki green exterior.

They specialise in Vietnamese Coffee, with favourites like coffee with condensed milk or coconut coffee, which are both very popular choices from the menu.

Coffee culture is huge in Vietnam, this is a great spot to experience it for yourself.

HER.Coffee

I discovered HER.Coffee when staying at a hotel just around the corner, and it quickly became one of my morning go-to spots. It’s a cosy little coffee shop with a relaxed and welcoming vibe.

They serve both Vietnamese and Italian coffee as well as juices and smoothies. If you’re feeling hungry, you can order a traditional banh mi, toast, banana bread or a smoothie bowl. The smoothie bowls are delicious, always generously topped with fresh fruit.

If you’re looking for a slow morning enjoying a nice drink and light breakfast, this is the perfect spot to start your day.

An’s Cafe

This is a sweet little cafe located just a few blocks away from My Khe Beach, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

It’s a lovely spot for breakfast, offering a range of egg dishes, avocado toast, pancakes and many other options. To drink, they serve both Vietnamese and Italian-style coffee, along with teas and smoothies.
