Hi, I’m Maddison
I’m an Aussie currently based in the UK with a love for adventure and a habit of always having my next trip planned. So far, I’ve explored more than 30 countries (and counting) from solo travel to group trips and family holidays, to spontaneous journeys with new friends made along the way.
I truly fell in love with travelling in 2019, when I took six months off work after the end of a long-term relationship – my very own “eat, pray, love” experience. Since then, I haven’t stopped exploring.
Through Palms and Postcards, I share practical guides, curated itineraries, and resources to make travel easier, so you can spend less time stressing over the details and more time enjoying the journey.
Why Palms and Postcards?
Seeing palm trees instantly feels like a holiday to me. It’s beachy, relaxed and tropical, exactly the feeling I chase when I’m travelling.
Postcards are something I’ve collected for years whenever I visit a new country. I don’t usually send them to anyone (despite often buying a few with the best intentions). Instead, I keep them tucked away in a box of souvenirs, flicking through them later as a reminder of the places I’ve been and the adventures I’ve had along the way.
After years of travelling and relying on travel blogs as a reference point while planning my own trips, I decided it was time to start my own and share my experiences through Palms and Postcards.
